• Political Analyst, 1KZN TV (a provincial TV station dedicated to covering community affairs), 2011 to 2018. Main responsibilities include weekly analysis of news that made headlines across the country and in the community. Judge in televised school debates between July and December every year and serving as the station’s as political commentator for news.

• Member, KwaZulu-Natal Government Research Forum, September 2013 to date. Main responsibilities include helping to coordinate research activities in the government sector; create research partnerships between government and research institutions in the province to help facilitate evidence-based policy making and implementation; promote the publication and dissemination of research products to inform the public; capacitate provincial government researchers in best practice research methodologies and provide for an ethical code to guide research practise

• Keynote Speaker in 2011 for Women in Politics in Africa Conference organized by Intelligence Transfer Centre (ITC) Main responsibilities included delivering a keynote address alongside 6 Ministers from 4 Southern African countries and one from Kenya. My paper was titled: Balancing Critical mass and Critical acts: exploring sustainable solutions for getting quality women into African politics. I also lead a plenary session of conference on the utility of women’s political agency and true abilities to govern
